January 26 Music Downloads & Your 360I was doing some investegating concerning methods to get music (legit),
and the easiest way to stream those to my 360. In short, here's what I
learned: iTunes sucks. and it's 99 cents a song. Napster on the other hand will allow you to download as much music as you want from a library of 1.5 million songs for 9.99. Napster uses Windows Digital Rights Management. What does this mean? Any file that uses Windows Digital Rights Management MUST be able to be streamed to any Windows Digital Media Reciever, such as your beloved 360. With Windows Media Connect up and running, you've now got a library of music at your disposal for any purpose in or outside of your games. I just started downloading music on Napster tonight, so I'll be doing some testing in a bit to see how good the Media connect is with Napster. In theory, it's perfect! I'll give it a shot and let you know how it went. January 23 Unexcused HiatusOkay Okay... So I was gone for a few months. A LOT of things has changed since then. Address, marital status, mental status...just to name a few. But now that things have settled down a bit I'll have time to start posting again. Here's something to get started with: A previously unannounced Xbox Live Arcade title is coming to the 360 in the spring. What is it? Hoopworld of course! Think of it as a mix between Unreal Tournament, NBA Jam, and NBA Street. I won't make any final judgements until I play the demo (thank you God for demos), but right now I'm not sure how this game will hold my interest while not getting boring. Here's hoping it turns out great! Checkout Hoopworld! |
